Had dinner here. It was a fun time with some girlfriends. There was a concert in the park across the street, so we asked for a table out front. They were all taken, but manager was super accommodating... he moved us a table from inside. Even though this added a table to the server out there, he did a great job! Now.., to the food. All was good. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a varied menu... one girlfriend had Wiener schnitzel, one spaghetti and one a scallop dish. All were very good. Sometimes when a restaurant has too much on a menu, they don't do any one special dish well, but we found all our dishes to be prepared well and would go back again.

Large portions. Husband had the pork schnitzel with parmesan gravy and sauerkraut. He could eater all. The soup and half sandwich combo is a good choice.

We started with happy hour half price appetizers and a great Woodford Reserve blackberry martini. A great mix of flavors. Crab cakes were huge. Main course flavors were excellent and the portions very large. Great value and very attentive, friendly service. Highly recommended.

I had the Lobster Bisque Soup and Pastrami Panini lunch. About 9 bucks and very high quality food and nice looking joint. Very good

Very nice, we stopped in when visiting the NCM in town. I had the Caprese Salad and it was wonderful.

Very impressed! I love Italian food and it was really good and professional service. Started out with the avocado frittas with crab cake on top. Not really one to eat either of those ingredients but went out on a limb and glad I did. We also had the spaghetti verdi (big portion) and raspberry chicken. Both very good. A little pricey but worth it. Really upscale decor. Wasn't that busy when we arrived on Saturday night around 7:30. Lot of people at the bar but they moved to the tables when we left. Wait for food was not very long at all. Only thing I wasn't too crazy about this manager I guess that came around asking how the food was and passing out menus. He was wearing a t shirt and jeans while all the bar tenders, waiters and hosts were dressed up in slacks and nice shirts. Not a lot of places to sit big groups.

Great atmosphere, great food, and great portions. The atmosphere is a nice place to have a sit-down meal. They have a small-ish menu, but they know what they're doing with the dishes they serve. My dish was great, and the seafood was all cooked and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend had a chicken dish that was amazing as well. We both couldn't finish our plates because they give plenty of food too! Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Went there the other night for dinner. The place is small with a dark, romantic kind of atmosphere. Some of the tables are in not great locations though, like the one where one person's back is literally in the coat rack. But other than that, the food was very good. Not my all time favorite, but I'm sure we'll be back again. I had the prawns and cheese grits. Very good and comforting. My only complaint here was that they only had 2 prawns and replaced the other two with regular large shrimp. The waiter did warn me in advance though, and I did say OK. I ended up getting 2 prawns and about 6 shrimp that were all super tasty, well seasoned, and not as tough as shrimp and prawns can get at other places. My boyfriend had the special which was tips with a great sauce and vegetables. His portion was a little small for the price (and I'm not a fan of huge Americanized portions by any means), but it was still a bit small. His was also tasty and well cooked. Their wine list is rather large and includes a good variety at pretty average prices per glass or bottle. They also have a large specialty cocktail menu which I have not yet gotten a chance to sample. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, and we had a good experience overall. I'm sure we'll be back as it's one of the more creative and diverse menus in Bowling Green.

Yet another small restaurant suffering from the infamous disease of Owner A.D.D. Their menu is baffling and completely devoid of focus. It features Bosnian, Greek, Italian, and German selections. Their music selection vividly reflects this lack of focus; instead of allowing music to be the beautiful garnish which confirms a restaurant's atmosphere, they instead blast smooth jazz, a style which doesn't have the remotest connection to any of the aforementioned cultures (which I suppose would be impossible unless a new genre were invented... GerBosniGreeTalian, anyone??). Decor in the dining area leans towards the dark and stuffy side of the spectrum. Their walls are crammed with local artists' creations for sale, regardless of whether or not their colors and styles fit the atmosphere (they don't). I was very intrigued by their Bosnian options, but decided to try a Vienna Pork Schnitzel instead. I was relieved to discover that their side salad contained a healthy variety of fresh mixed greens, an appreciated departure from the de facto Bowling Green shredded iceberg salad. Both the schnitzel and its side of saurkraut were great, but with a menu so unfocused I'm sure that it contains plenty of duds. I suspect that I lucked out with a solid choice. My waitress was very nice and attentive, but there were only three other tables with customers. Decide on what you're trying to be, Verdi. You have an Italian name, but tasty German food. Your name isn't Verdislavikistein. Pick a culture and stick to it.

easily the best restaurant i Bowling Green. I love this intimacy of this little restaurant, the food is terrific, very romantic atmosphere. Not cheap, but not much more than anywhere else and it's worth it!

I got to go from Verdi and it was ok. Had the in laws come in town and decided to take them to try it out. Whoever is buying this on a regular basis must be on a diet because the food is not edible. The service is below par and the sad thing.... the location has great potential.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
